It’s Thursday night and, as usual, I’m sitting on the couch, sipping wine, pinterest surfing, and watching HGTV. Flip or Flop is on and they just walked into a 1960’s kitchen that needs a full remodel and their contractor estimated the update to cost $10k. Yes, $10k. For an entire NEW kitchen- floors, cabinets, appliances. Say what? Only $10k. I just went from uber jealous to angry because well, $10k for a kitchen remodel is just ridiculously unreliable to all us non-HGTV celeb folks.
Then I came across this post from Elements of Style. I couldn’t agree more, Erin! Thank you for letting more people know that while HGTV is great inspiration for home projects, it is NO WAY reliable in helping us understand what house updating costs.
And that’s a wrap for tonight!
